Good morning, this is Northword. Tomorrow the crowds wave palms and cry Hosanna, and most of them don't yet know what's coming. The question is whether you do. Good morning, this is Northword, the word the North, your week, a daily podcast from St. John's Fort Smith, in collaboration with the Anglican family. I'm your host, Father Aaron. So we've been in this series on the various valleys of life. And the question I want to leave you with at the end of this week is not what you've done with these valleys. The question is what are you going to bring to the cross on Good Friday? Tomorrow is Palm Sunday. Jesus enters Jerusalem. The crowds are waving palms and crying Hosanna. It is triumphant. It is joyful. And most of them, in that moment, do not understand what is coming. Friday he is crucified. Sunday he rises. Passion Tide is not the time to clean yourself up before you come to church. It is not the time to perform your best week of spiritual discipline. Passion tide is the time to come honestly. We have walked five weeks through five valleys desire, pride, shame, and fear, and this week the master question. And here at the end, the question is simple. Which valley is still yours? Which darkness are your eyes still adjusted to? Which wound is still infected because it hasn't been confessed? Don't bring your resolution tomorrow. Don't bring your performance. Bring the valley. Don't be fooled, friends. The darkness will never let you go. But there is one who walked this dark road all the way to the cross, all the way into death, and he did not stay there. He is pulling people out of the valley right now. Come tomorrow, come honestly, come with open hands and let him be your master. You become what you serve. The only question is which master has you. This has been Northword, the Word, the North, your Week, a daily podcast from St. John's Fort Smith in collaboration with the Anglican family.
